4.5 Aggregated or de-identified information
We may share statistics that cannot reasonably identify you, for example "average close-rate lift reported by group-coaching attendees."
5. Text messages (SMS) and phone calls
We ask for your phone number on our forms so a real person from our team can call you about your request. Please read this section carefully, it describes the consent you give when you submit a form.
5.1 Consent you give when you submit a form
By providing your phone number and checking the consent box, you agree that Close It Now may contact you by phone call and text message (SMS/MMS) at the number you provided about your request and our Services. - We do not share your mobile number or SMS opt-in with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. Mobile opt-in data is used only to send you the messages described here.
5.3 Call recording
If we ever record a call, we will tell you at the start of the call. Texas is a one-party-consent state, but several states we serve (including California, Oregon, and Washington) require all-party consent, so we will always ask.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
6.1 What we use today
The Site is a static website. It sets strictly necessary technologies only:
- Security and delivery cookies from Cloudflare (for example
__cf_bm,cf_clearance) that protect the Site from bots and abuse. - Google reCAPTCHA stores a token in your browser when you submit a form.
- Local browser storage used by our interactive tools to remember your selections while you use them. It is not shared with anyone and is cleared when you clear your browser storage.
6.2 Optional technologies
If enabled, Google Analytics sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) that help us count visits and understand which pages and episodes are useful.
6.3 Your cookie controls
- Consent banner. Where optional cookies are used, a banner lets you accept or decline them before they are set. Your choice is stored for 12 months and can be changed any time from the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer. (See
tcpa-a2p-consent.md§E for the banner text.) - Browser settings. You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop forms from working.
- Google Analytics opt-out: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track. We treat a GPC signal from your browser as a request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information and of optional analytics cookies. Because we do not sell or share personal information, the practical effect is that optional analytics is disabled for that session. Browsers' older "Do Not Track" signals are honoured the same way.
6.4 Embedded third-party content
Podcast players (Captivate.fm) and any embedded social content load from those providers and may set their own cookies once you interact with them. We have no control over those cookies; see the provider's policy.
7. Analytics and advertising disclosure
7.1 We do not run advertising pixels, retargeting tags, or data-broker integrations on the Site.
7.2 We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate Site usage. Google may use the data it collects to contextualise and personalise ads in its own network subject to its policies. You can learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out with the browser add-on linked in §6.3.
7.3 We may use email-campaign analytics (opens and clicks) inside Brevo to see which content is useful. You can stop this by unsubscribing.
8. Your Privacy Choices
You have choices about your information regardless of where you live. We honour the requests below for everyone, not only residents of states whose laws require it.
8.1 Opt out of marketing
- Email: click "unsubscribe" in any campaign email, or email [email protected] with "unsubscribe" in the subject. Service emails about an active engagement (invoices, session logistics) continue.
- Text messages: reply STOP to any message.
- Phone calls: tell the caller, or email/call us and ask to be placed on our internal do-not-call list. We honour the National Do Not Call Registry and our internal list.
8.2 Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have not done so in the preceding 12 months. Because we do not sell or share, there is nothing to opt out of; if that ever changes, we will update this Policy and add a "Do Not Sell or Share" link before doing so. We also honour the Global Privacy Control signal (§6.3).
8.3 Access, correct, delete, or port your information
You may ask us to:
- Confirm whether we hold personal information about you and access a copy of it;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your information (we may keep what we need for an active engagement, invoicing records, or legal obligations, and we will tell you if so);
- Provide a portable copy in a common format;
- Limit any use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect it, see §2.6).
How to submit a request: email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy Request," or call (512) 364-8559, or write to Close It Now, 1714 Rosenborough Ln S, Round Rock, TX 78665. Tell us which right you are exercising and the email/phone you used with us so we can locate your records. We will verify your identity by matching the request to the contact details on file and may ask one or two follow-up questions; we will not ask for more information than we need. An authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf with your signed permission.
Timing: we respond within 45 days and will tell you if we need up to 45 more days. There is no charge for a reasonable number of requests. We will not discriminate against you, no denial of service, different pricing, or reduced quality, for exercising a privacy right.
Appeals: if we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our decision email with "Privacy Appeal." We will respond within 60 days. If you are still unsatisfied you may contact your state attorney general, for Texas residents, the Texas Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division at texasattorneygeneral.gov.
8.4 State-specific notices
Several states where we work have comprehensive privacy laws, including Texas (Texas Data Privacy and Security Act), Colorado (Colorado Privacy Act), Oregon (Oregon Consumer Privacy Act), Tennessee (Tennessee Information Protection Act), and California (CCPA/CPRA), as well as Virginia, Connecticut, Utah, Montana, Delaware, Iowa, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Maryland, Minnesota, Indiana, Kentucky, and Rhode Island. Most of these laws apply only to businesses that process data on 100,000+ consumers or that meet revenue or data-sale thresholds; Texas's law exempts small businesses as defined by the U.S. Small Business Administration except for selling sensitive data. We voluntarily extend the rights in §8.1–8.3 to all residents of these states and will treat a request under any of these laws as described above.
California residents, additional disclosures. In the preceding 12 months we collected the following categories of personal information (as defined in the CCPA): identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address); commercial information (programs purchased); internet/network activity (pages viewed, form and tool inputs); professional/employment information (company, role, résumé for applicants); and inferences drawn from tool inputs (a recommended program). Sources, purposes, and recipients are described in §§2–4. We do not sell or share personal information and have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the information of anyone under 16. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit. You have the right to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale/sharing, limit, and non-discrimination described in §8.2–8.3. Shine the Light (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.83): we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing.
Nevada residents: we do not sell covered information as defined by NRS 603A; you may still send an opt-out request to [email protected].
8.5 Testimonial and recording consent
You may withdraw consent to a published testimonial or to a recording you appear in for future use by emailing us. We will remove it from Site pages and future materials within 30 days; copies already distributed (for example a podcast episode already downloaded by listeners) cannot be recalled.
9. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in §3, then delete or de-identify it. Our default schedule:
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Form and tool submissions (leads) that do not become clients | 24 months from last contact |
| Client records, coaching notes, session recordings | Length of the engagement +; invoices and tax records 7 years |
| Email-marketing list | Until you unsubscribe, then suppressed (kept on a do-not-email list so we do not re-add you) |
| Job applications | 12 months from application, or as required by law |
| Server / security logs | Up to 90 days (Cloudflare, AWS) |
| Analytics data | Per the analytics tool's retention setting, default 14 months |
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to a small professional-services business: HTTPS everywhere, a static site with no database exposed to the internet, Cloudflare bot and DDoS protection, reCAPTCHA on forms, access to submissions limited to authorised staff, and reputable hosting and email providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you and the appropriate regulators as required by the Texas Identity Theft Enforcement and Protection Act (Tex. Bus. & Com. Code ch. 521) and the laws of your state.
11. Children
The Site and Services are for businesses and working adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or under 16 for the purposes of §8.4). If you believe a child has provided us information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
12. Third-party websites and content
The Site links to third-party sites and services, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Facebook (including our Facebook Group), Instagram, LinkedIn, the Inner Revolution book site, event registration pages, and partner sites. Their privacy practices are their own; this Policy does not apply to them. Content embedded from third parties (for example the Captivate.fm player) is governed by the provider's policy from the moment you interact with it.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy as our practices or the law change. We will post the revised Policy with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes that affect how we use information already collected, notify you by email or a notice on the Site before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date means you accept the revised Policy.
